WAR INTERCESSION

SERVICE AT ST, MATTHEW'S _ln addition to the usual congregation several hundred people responded to the call of 'the League of Womenfolk of the Overseas Forces to attend a special service of intercession at St. Matthew's Church vesterday morning. The service was conducted by Canon G. Coats, who offered prayer for all rulers, for all members of the fighting forces and allied services and for all our allies.

An addess was given by Canon Coats on the power of faith and trust in God manifesting itself in effective prayer. He said they were all one in their service of God and the Empire, inasmuch as they were bearing up the men who were actually in the fighting line and co-operating with them.
