Bracket: Maratua and "Whanako. WORK AT CLAUDELANDS BEST SPRINT BY UENUKU (0.C.) HAMILTON, Friday The going on the course proper was in good order at Claudelands yesterday. The best efforts were those of Uenuku and Noble Others to please were Our Peggy, Kewpie's Jewel, Gallant Pointer and Double Peter. Over a mile and a-half, Blush Worthy, Magic Task and Lord Axworthy worked freely to run the last half-mile in 1.9 2-5. Our Peggy, who looks well, recorded 3.31 1-5, the last half-mile in 1.6. There was little between Robie, Silver Countess and Worthy Treasure, .with Wiri Bingen several lengths away, in 3.59. tho last half-mile taking 1.13 1-5. Uenuku had the pace on only for the last four furlongs of a mile and a-half, running 1.2 2-5. it was the best half-mile of the morning. Modern Parrish and Joan's Jewel took 1.9 4-5 for the last half-mile of their work. Double Peter's time for the same task was 3.5 1-5. He looks well. Albertini ran home in 3.9. Double Peter came home after a strong workout in 3.5 4-5. He is in good racing condition. Noble Prince indicated Improvement whfe'n he finished clear of Roi Grande, cutting out the third lialf-mile in 1.2 4-5. For a rnilo and a-quarter, Calla Lily recorded 3.5 4-5, and 1.9 2-5 for the last half. There was little between Scotty Direct and Kewpie's Jewel in 1.5 3-5. Kewpie's Jewel shaped particularly well. Castella del Oro and Bingen Fashion were led home by Gallant Pointer, whose time for the final half mile was 1.5 3-5. SALE OF TE UIRA LONDON. Dec. 4 Te Uira. a nine-year-old full-sister to Pilar Lap, was sold at the Newmarket bloodstock sales for 750 guineas. Te Uira was bred by- Mr. F.
