SOUTH BRITISH RECORD The feature of trading on the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday was the rise in the record level of South British Insurance, in which business was done at 655, an advance of Is on the previous peak price. The market was firm at the close. Levels in other insurance issues were steady, while similar conditions ruled for gilt-edged and banks. New Zealand industrials were steady to firm, but in Australian stocks neither buyers nor sellers showed much inclination to trade. CLOSING QUOTATIONS

WELLINGTON, Friday The report of Brunner Collieries, Limited, states that after provision of £1363 for interest on Government loan, £1496 for interest on debentures and £2974 for depreciation, operations for the year ended Juno CO show a loss of £12,137 which has been transferred to appropriation account. The loss for the previous year was £13,020. In liabilities the loan account of the New Zealand Government shows an increase of £18j327. with accrued Interest increased by £1363 and the liability to the debenture holders has increased by accrued interest amounting to £1406. Additions to buildings and plant amounted to £9581. LARGE TEXTILE COMPANY Bradford Cotton Mills (N.Z.), Limited, has been registered in Wellington; capital £500,000 in shares of £1 each.
