INTOXICATION CASE

WHAKATANE, Wednesday As a sequel to an accident in Boniain Road on Saturday afternoon, WilLiam James Proffitt was fined and driving licence cancelled for one .n £ when he pleaded guilty in the Po' l Court yesterday to being intoxicate while in charge of a motor-car. Sergeant M. Farrell said that a-ca driven by accused collided witl) stationary vehicle, crossed the footpa and a low stone fence and came to re against a house. When the polli arrived it was found that the driver M left the scene, but later he was intercepted and found to be drunk.
