DEATH OF MR, LAPOINTE (Reed. 5.5 P,m.) OTTAWA, Nov, 27 The death has occurred of the Hon. Ernest Lapointe, P.C., K.C., Minister of Justice in the Canadian Government, at the age of 65. , Mr. Jjapointe first became a Minister in 1991, liis portfolio then being that of Minister of Marine and Fisheries. He was appointed Minister of Justice in 1928, and has held that position ever since. He visited Auckland in 1927 on his way to Canberra, to represent Canada at the opening of the Federal Parliament.
