The usual provisions, including taxation, reduction of bank premises and fluctuations m the value of investments were made prior to striking the profit. The accounts were presented to the annual meeting in Sydney yesterday. The final dividend of 6s a share (Australian currency), making an unchanged 6 per cent for the year, has already been announced. (Otago).—The dredge recommenced operations on Tuesday after being held up for a period o,f eight months owing to tho low level of tho river. LOWER BUTTER-FAT YIELD (0.C.) HAMILTON. Friday The late spring this year has caused a decrease of an averago of 51b of butter-fat a cow in tho Waikato, according to the returns of tho Auckland Improvement Association for October. During the period the association tested 2098 herds, comprising 100,453 cows, t'ho average yield being 7931b milk and 35.81b fat. In October last year, 2054 herds of 103,015 cows wero bandied by the association, tho production averaging 8881b milk and 40.1db fat. PRIVATE HOTEL SOLD After being passed in earlier at auction, when bidding failed to reach the reserve, tho 20-roomed private hotel Princes Lodge, in Princes Street, City, was sold yesterday by C. F.
