MILITARY WEDDING
EDGAR-FURNISS A military wedding was celebrated in Huntly Presbyterian Church on November 25. when Miss Nancy Furniss, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Furniss, of Ruawaro, Huntly, was married to Lieutenant George Edgar, New Zealand Dental Corps, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. G. T. Edgar, of Dunedin. The Rev. W. P. Rankin officiated, and Mrs. (*. Shaw was the organist. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore an ivory satin gown with high pleated neckline and shoulders, and a graceful train. Her veil of cloudy white tulle fell from a coronet of orange blossom, and she carried a bouquet of cream roses. The bridesmaids were Miss Mattic Edgar, of Dunedin, sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Jocelyn Furniss, sister of the bride, who wore Early Victorian frocks of shell pink embossed satin and apple-green organdie, with off-tlie-shoulder ruffles, and full flowing skirts. Their headdresses and bouquets were of deep pink roses. The bridegroom was attended by Lieutenant R. Sccftt, New Zealand Dental Corps, Whenuapai. as best man, and by Lieutenant A. Gibbs, New Zealand Dental Corps, Papakura, as groomsman. A reception was held at the home of the bride's aunt. Mrs. George Furniss, who received her guests wearing a smart black frock of embossed crepe appliqued in white, and a small black toque. Mrs. J. H. Furniss, mother of the bride, was in a navy ensemble with matching hat.
