SOCIAL SERVICE

A satisfactory financial position was shown at the annual meeting of the Auckland Presbyterian Orphanages and Social Service Association,, held yesterday. The chairman of the association, tho Very Rev. G. Budd, presided. The superintendent, the Rev. T. Halliday, presented a statement showing that the total income for tho year ended June 30 was £7376 and the expenditure £5498. Mr. Halliday said that Presbyterian Sunday schools in the Auckland Province had raised almost £3OO for the funds of the association during the year.
