OBITUARY
MR. JOHN FOX EVANS The death has occurred in a private hospital at Hamilton of Mr. John Fox Evans, a well-known resident of le Vkaii Born at Mount Roskill m W, Mr. Evans was educated at St._ -John s College and at a private school in Dunedin. After fanning as a youth m the Wairarapa, he acquired a property near the Wanganui River where he remained until the outbreak of the last war Following service in I?ranee with the Rifle Brigade, lie took up a block of land in Te Akau, which he farmed to the time of his death. A keen sportsman, he was a former secretary of the local sports club and president of the golf club. He is survived by his wife and one son. MRS. H. STUART The death has occurred at Warkworth of Mrs. Helen Stuart, widow of Captain J. S. Stuart. Mrs. Stuart was a resident of Mount Eden lor many years, having been a member of the Mount Eden Baptist Church for over 40 years. She is survived by three sons and two daughters.
