MR. DUFF COOPER'S VIEWS (Rood. 10.35 p.m.) SYDNEY. Nov. 26 Mr Duff Cooper, who has returned from New Zealand, with his wife, said he liked New Zealand and had a very good time. He would like to ha\e seen more of the country, but had only one free day. He had been very impressed with the Dominion's war effort, and conscription, he added, appeared to be working well.
COMMANDEER SHIPS ELEVEN FRENCH VESSELS UNITED STATES MAY ACT NEW YORK, Nov. 25 The Maritime Commission has completed plans for the immediate requisition of 11 Frencli ships, including the giant liner Normandie, which will he carried out in the event of \ ichy deciding 011 all-out collaboration with the Axis, reports the Journal of Commerce correspondent in Washington. It is reliably reported that the Normandie will be transferred to the Arnvv and others will be allocated for .service in the North Atlantic and the Red Sea.
