YOUNG FARMERS' CLUBS

(0.C.) WHANGAREI, Wednesday The need for continuing with the organisation during the war years was stressed by speakers at the annual confei-ence held in Whangarei to-day of the Auckland provincial council of the Young Farmers' Clubs. It was stated that, with many members in the military forces, some clubs had gone into recess, and this was not desirable. The organising secretary, Mr. S. Freeman, of Wellington, said that prior fco the war there "were 203 active clubs in the Dominion, but this number had been reduced to 124.
