WAR EMERGENCY PLANS The' responsibilities of the Emergency Precautions Service and the Auckland Hospital Board in moving and caring for maternity patients in the event of an emergency were outlined by tliq Director-General of Health, Dr. M. H. Watt, in a letter received at a meeting of the Hospital Board last night. Dr. Watt said that, in the event of a war emergency, the responsibility for the removal of patients from St. Helens and private maternity hospitals was that of the Emergency Precautions Service. Should any maternity patients in the Auckland hospital district require new accommodation due to such removal, the responsibility for finding the accommodation and providing treatwould be that of the Auckland Hospital Board.
