REMANDED IN CUSTODY

MURDER ATTEMPT CHARGE ELDERLY MAN IN COURT Following incidents during police visits to a house dt 6 Grey Terrace, City, on Tuesday evening, when a shot was fired, James Maxwell Morrison, aged 72, was charged before Mr. J. Morling, S.M., yesterday, with attempting to murder Sergeant L. E. G. Wilson and with assaulting Constable W. S. Edwards in the execution of his duty. Accused was not represented by counsel. Sub-Inspector McNamara applied for a remand until next Thursday, and accused was remanded in custody.
