UNAUTHORISED WIRING
WARNING BY MAGISTRATE (0.c.) WAIHI, Wednesday "These cases have been brought as a warning that unauthorised wiring is highly dangerous and mast cease," said Mr. G. Gilchrist, of Te Aroha, who appeared for the registrar of electric wiring in the Warm Magistrate's Court, when Howard Walter Judd, milking machine fitter, admitted that, not being a registered wireman, he had done wiring work at farms. Mr. W. H. Freeman, S.M. (to defendant) : It is a good plan to stick to your own business. There are plenty of qualified men about. Although ycu may not run any risk yourself, what of the farmer? It is very dangerous to tamper with electrical equipment. If it is true that all milking maehiits companies do this kind of thing, then the sooner publicity fs given to the position tho better. This is not a cai>3 for a nominal penalty. Defendant was fined £5 and costs C® one charge and £1 and costs on the other.
