RESTRICTION ON HOSES

DECISION AT HAMILTON HEAVY WATER CONSUMPTION (0.C.) HAMILTON, Wednesday Reporting to the Hamilton Borough Council this evening, Mr. R. Worley, borough engineer, stated that owing to the lack of sufficient filter plant the Hamilton water supply would not be as satisfactory as it Avas last summer, and he suggested restrictions on water consumption. Mr. Worley said it had been proved that the water used in hosing gardens in Hamilton amounted to 1,250,000 gallons daily, and this required 2400 electrical units to pump from the river. Mr. Woriev's suggestion that hosing be restricted to from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. was adopted.
