SILK STOCKINGS

Sir, —To silk stocking moaners. Why the never-ending moan ? It makes me ashamed of my sex —when one can purchase lisle hose from 3s 6d to 6s lid a pair. But moaner says: Think of the fashion, my dear. But if you must cover your legs, why not a new fashion, my dears? A pair of gum boots. They will at least reach to the knees. Time to moan when our stomachs are empty. I am a mere branch of the old pioneers. Rita Dye.
