SCHOOL STEEPLECHASES

The annual steeplechases of King's School, Remuera, were decided at the Ellerslie racecourse yesterday afternoon, the senior event being over a distance of approximately three miles and the junior over about two miles. A representative gathering of parents watched the events. The results were as follows: — Seniors: B. K. Caughey, 1; J. C. Davenport, 2; R. E. Kiernander, 3. Fastest time, Caughey, 16m 41s. Juniors: H. R. Johnston, 1; D. N. Start, 2; J. B. Morris, 3. Fastest time, A. B. White, 9m 12s.
