Raid on Malta.—Slight damage was caused when an enemy bomber raided Malta on Saturday. Duke of Windsor. —The Puke and Duchess of Windsor have arrived in New York for a visit of five days. Navy and Air Casualties. —The London Daily Telegraph says the Royal Navy's casualties since the outbreak of war total 22.500, and those of the Royal Air Force 8500. British War Savings.—The war savings total in Britain last week was £11,210,094, making the total so far for the second year of the savings campaign £542,681.507, compared with a total at the same date in the first year of £405,329,065. Jews Driven Out.—Polish sources reveal that 20,000 Jews from Berlin, Vienna and the Rhineland were forced to leave their homes on Friday at 10 minutes' notice, for Poland. They were allowed to take only a small amount of personal belongings and 100 marks each. The Jews are mostly between the ages of 40 and 80, the younger Jews being kept in Germany for work, It is stated that the German Government intends to settle all .Tews in Poland, the I kraine and other l'ussian territory.
