BEGINNING THE DAY

Text.—Thou therefore my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus . . . endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 11. Tim., ii., 1 and 3. Prayer.—Father, 1 am Thy child, but sometimes weak and failing, although 1 want to be strong and victorious. When I would do good evil is present. Sometimes I do the thing 1 would not. .My heart and flesh fail, but Thou are my hope and my portion forever. The grace of Jesus Christ is sufficient. Forbid that I should be overcome of evil. Help me to overcome evil with good. A men.
