AUCKLAND ARTILLERYMAN PRIVATE ADVICE RECKIVEI) As a result of incpiiries made privately by cablegram to the International Red Cross organisation at Geneva, it has now been established that Artificer E. B. Allison, who was taken prisoner on Crete on .June 1, is a prisoner ol war in Germany. Artificer Allison, who is well known as an Auckland athlete and was president ol tho j Teachers' Training College Students j Association, enlisted early in the war | and went overseas with the _ first echelon. He was reported as missing early in June, but subsequent advice shows that he was taken prisoner on June 1 with a number of other artillerymen. He is a son ol Mr. and .Mrs. J). A. B. Allison, of One Tree Hill, and is 26 years of age.
