EARLY ANNOUNCEMENT definite promise given An early announcement on the principal political question of the hour — whether Now Zealand is to have a National Government or a general election—was promised by the Prime Minister, Mr. Eraser, on his return from overseas at the week-end. "An announcement will be made as soon as I have had time to get ail adequate appreciation of the political situation at the moment," said Mr. Eraser in reply to an inquiry. "I intend to go into the matter at once, and I will make a statement as soon as possible."
