PROMOTIONS GAZETTED ORDNANCE CORPS CHANGES The appointment of Major H. E. Erridge, officer commanding the NewZealand Army Ordnance Corps, to the post of controller, Defence Services Provision Office, with the temporary rank of lieutenant-colonel, is notified in the Gazette. Major E. L. G. Bown, New Zealand Staff Corps, will succeed Lieu-tenant-Colonel Erridge as officer commanding the Ordnance Corps, retaining at the same time his position as chief ordnance officer, Main Ordnance Depot, Trentham. Captain W. W. Buttimore, of the Waikato Mounted .Rifles, and Captain J. H. Searlc. of the First Battalion, Waikato Regiment, have been granted the temporary rank of major. The Gazette also records the promotion of the following officers of the 4th (Works) Company. New Zealand Engineers:—Captain (temporary) N. L. Viekerman to he major (temporary); Lieutenant (temporary) J. T. Gilkison to be captain (temporary); Lieutenant R. P. Worlev to be captain (temporary); Lieutenant (temporary) W. L. Bell to be captain (temporary); Lieutenant (temporary) R. G. Slyfiekl to be captain (temporary).
