Death of Educationist.—The death has occurred in Sydney of Mr. Walter li/. Bethel, educationist and writer of Australian history. He was formerly head of the Child Welfare Department in New South Wales. 110 was 78 years of age. Europe's Food Outlook—The Rome radio states that the German Minister of Supply said foodstuffs would ho plentiful in Europe in the coming winter. The harvest in France was 20 per cent greater than it was last vear and half of Germany's crops have Wen gathered in spite of adverse weather.
