CALEDONIAN SOCIETY
A successful financial year in spite of the many handicaps due to the blackout and other matters was reported at the annual meeting of the Otaliuhu Caledonian Society. The chief, Mr. A. Stephen, reported that membership was close on 200. The society had donated £2O to the regimental pipe band of the New Zealand Scottish (Auckland Company). Officers were elected as follows:—Patron Mr. C. R, Petrie. M.P.; chief. Mr. A. Stephen; chieftains. Messrs. R. Allan and ,J R. Hardio; secretary, Mr. M. Hnmilinpr: treasurer. Mrs. White: auditor, Mr. R. A. Archibald; pipers, Messrs. S. and J. Hanks; committee. Messrs. J. Me Ivor. A. Cottrell. R. Pope, \Y. Oeddes, Hunt, Mrs. J, Greenall and Mrs. O. O. Anstis«.
