AEROPLANE CRASH

(Reed. 11.15 p.m.) NEW YORK, August 19 A message from Rio do Janeiro cays that a Pan American Airwavs aeroplane, with 13 persons on hoard, crashed into the Cantnreira Mountains and eight were killed. The aeroplane took off in bad weather from Curtiyba lor Sao Paulo. The radio went silent when within five minutes of Sao Paulo. The passengers included Professor Jessup, of New York, internationally known lawyer and lecturer. He was among those to escape. The wrecked machine was found yesterday morning. The first reports said that 12 were injured.
