OVERSEAS WRESTLERS

(S.R.) WELLINGTON Wednesday "Authority is not given for remission of funds to countries: outside the sterling area," said the Minister of Finance, the Hon. W. Nash, in the House of Representatives to-day, in reply to a question concerning overseas wrestlers and their earnings. Mr. Nash added "that at present there was no restriction on the admission to New Zealand of persons of British birth and parentage and of European race, provided they were of good health and character. Citizens of the United States born in that country were similarly admissable. Other aliens in general were not granted permission to enter.
