[.BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Wednesday When the Legislative Council met to-day after a break of a week three bills were 'received from the House of Representatives. Two local measures, the Christchurch City Empowering and Special Rates Consolidation Bill _ and the Auckland Suburban Drainage Amendment Bill, were read a first time and referred to the Local Bills Committee. The Finance Bill was read a first time and the Council adjourned until to-morrow.
