FLYING FATALITY

ACCIDENT AT RIVERHEAD VERDICT AT THE INQUEST An inquest into the deaths in' a flying accident at Riverhead on July 30 of Pilot-Officer Athol Foster, single, aged 25, eldest son of Mrs. H. P. R. Foster. 5 Westhourne Road, Remuera, and Leading-Aircraftman Keith Milieu McCulloch, single, aged 19, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. R. M. McCullocli, Mount Wellington Highway, Otahuhu, was held before the city coroner, Sir. F. K. Hunt. S.M., yesterday. In returning a verdict that their deaths were caused by their machine crashing at Riverhead on a training flight, the coroner said there was no evidence to show what caused the aeroplane to crash. He asked the Royal New Zealand Air Force, authorities to report to him the finding of the court of inquiry investigating the accident.
