KAMO MINE STRIKE
CONFERENCE PROPOSAL REJECTION BY THE MEN (0.c.) WHANGAREI, Sunday There has been no change in the situation at the Kamo coal mines, where the miners have been on strike since Thursday afternoon. The managing director of Kamo Collieries. Mr. W. M. Fraser, endeavoured yesterday to arrange for a conference with the men, but they refused to meet the management. Members of the Coal Mines Council aro expected in Whangarei to-morrow to try to settle the dispute.
