WOMEN CONDUCTORS
MELBOURNE, August 2 The chairman of tho Melbourne Tramways Board announced to-day that women will bo emploved as conductors on city tramears. They will be paid the same wage as men and have the same conditions. Preference will be given to the wives of employees on active service. Because of the congestion on the tramears it was found necessary to provide the trailic stall with relief. I
