ALL BLACKS AT EDEN PARK The playing of selections and a display of marching by {lie Scottish Pipo Band were much appreciated l>y spectators at tlio Auek-land-Waikaio representative matcli on Saturday afternoon. Four lassies in Highland costump took up a collpction in aid of the band's expenses. An invitation has been received by the South Auckland Rugby League from the West Coast to visit Grey mouth for a match. The invitation lias been deferred awaiting a more opportune time, it being considered that it would be a mistake to take players away from work for about a week for such a trip during the war. Interested spectators at the representative Rugby match at. Eden Park on Saturday afternoon between Auckland and AVaikato were three Georges—Messrs. Tyler, Nicholson and Oillett, all members of the famous 1005 All Blacks. Htill another Georare in the company was Mr. Bush, former Southland and Canterbury representative, and well-known Auckland boxing official. Accompanying Mr. Bush was his son, Captain 1!. <l. Bush, who has been spending a few days' leave in Auckland. In addition to being an Auckland Rngby and cricket representative Captain Bush played "Rugby for Olago, the North and South Islands. New Zealand and New Zealand Universities. He was also one of the founders of the Auckland Barbarians' Club.
