BREACHES OF REGULATIONS fBY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] CHRISTCHUJRCH, Friday The first cases of shopkeepers having lights too strong in their windows was heard in the Christchurch Magistrate's Court to-day, when three jewellers were charged, two pleading guilty and one not guilty. The police said defendants had been repeatedly warned. All had cut down their lighting, hut not enough for the requirements, Mr. E. C.- Lewey, S.M., convicted each defendant and ordered them to pay the costs. He said the cases had apparently been brought as a warning.
