BOOT WORKERS WANTED

Boot and shoe workers who have left their trade were urged to return to it hv the Minister of National Service, the Hon. It. Semple, in an appeal last night. The Minister spoke of the serious shortage of labour in the industry, which was fared with a huge task in" providing for the needs of the Services and for civilian requirements. He said that many members of the Home Guard were turning out to parades in unsuitable boots and shoes. That should not be, he added.
