RECONSTRUCTION
Sir,—As one woman who is interested in post-war reconstruction, it was heartening to witness the response to the rally of women in the Town Hall recently". This, apparently, is the first step toward organising women in a reconstruction movement. We welcome this opportunity of uniting in actively working for a post-war wo~rld which must eliminate greed and hate, and which will be based, rather, upon the spirit of peace and goodwill. Co-operation is necessary. Sympathy toward such a movement is not enough. Kverv woman has something to say, some constructive idea to put forward. Mere "wishing," without concentrated action, tends to scatter our forces. We are thinking now as never before, but the loose ends of our creative thoughts need to he drawn together toward one centre where they will be woven by the skilled hands of' leadership into the manifestation of a now and better world. So let us keep afire the spirit of zeal which has been kindled in our hearts by this rally of women and enthusiastically combine in making the coming national conference a great lasting suc-
cess. Victory.
