WAITEMATA BY-ELECTION ["BY TELEGBAFH—PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Tuesday Returns to date give the following soldiers' votes in the Waitemata byeleotion: —W. B. Darlow (Independent), 59; Mrs. M. M. Dreaver (Government), 56; N. V. Douglas (Democratic Labour), 6; P. R. Gardner (Independent), 3; H. T. Head (Pan-New Zealand), 6. Although not complete, these represent the bulk of votes expected from members of the forces overseas.
