Callesen, made an offer for the pick of 50 heifers from the 00 head and two special bulls for mating with the heifers, and this was accepted. • These cattle have wintered remarkably well on the Manawatu pastures under Mr. Callesen's rare and have developed into well-grown, good-conditioned cattle, showing well in-calf and they should come jnto excellent profit ready to establish Friesian records. A large number of the heifers are from officially tested dams with high butter-fat backing. Tne dams include "Totara Sylvia Trixy" (C.O.R. 831 lb fat), twice Royal Champion row, and "Totara Empress Zena" (C.O.R. 7101b fat) (Junior 3yrs.), and seven others over 0001b fat.
