Evidence was given that: deceased was on the barge Billy White, which left the We-tern Viaduct on May 28. Off St. Heliers Bav he crossed to another barge behind his. but on the re turn fell from the ropes and was drowned. His body was recovered on June If) It was stated that deceased had five handles of beer before goiuu (ill hoard, but was quite steady rut In- feet. Bargehands were warned against leaving their barges at sea. the penalty if they were caught being dismissal. A verdict, of accidental drowning was returned.
