LIQUOR NEAR DANCE
PROSECUTIONS AT HAMILTON (O.O.) HA MiI,TON, Friday A fine ol £o was imposed on John Dodds by Mr. W. 11. Freeman. S.M., in the Hamilton Police Court to-day, for having liquor under his control in the vicinity of a dance hall. For a similar offence John Gamble (M r. .7. ('. Taylor), who pleaded not guilty, was fined £:*!. Fines o| c;> were imposed on William Hewitt, Alexander Bruce Stirling and Thomas Lawrence Thomas for being found, with liquor in their possession in the vicinity of a dance hall. Three ot her defendants. Herbert Ivor Herbert. John Keith Monro and Sydney Neil Munro (Mr. F McGregor) were convicted and had their cases adjourned for a month for penalty for a similar offence.
