MILITARY HOSPITAL
ATTENTION TO ROADS
ALMOST READY FOR USE
Although details have still to be completed, the new military hospital in the Domain is at the stage where it would be possible for patients to be admitted if the necessity arose. Chief among the tasks in hand is the formation of an approach road for ambulances, and steps have been taken by the chairman of the Auckland Hospital Board, Mr. Allan J. Moody, to ensure that this work is finished as rapidly a« possible.
Mattresses are on the beds, and linen and blankets are ready in the hospital's cupboards for immediate use. Drug supplies are being distributed, and all the other numerous final indoor details are being attended to by the nursing staff. After being delayed in delivery, a lift has arrived from overseas and is being installed. It is hoped that another outstanding piece of equipment, n steriliser for the operating theatre, will also bo available shortly, although the theatre could bo used now if necessary.
