97TH BIRTHDAY

RESIDENT OF HAMILTON (0.c.) HAMILTON, Friday

Born in London in 1844, Mr. Jonathan David Iremonger. of Rostrevqr Street, Hamilton, will celebrate: bis 97th birthday on Tuesday. Mr. Iremonger came to New Zealand when 30 years of age and settled .in Wellington. He was in business as a painter in Blenheim for many years before coming to Hamilton in 1914. For over 50 years Mr. Iremonger lias been associated with "the Salvation Army. Although blind, lie still enjoys excellent health. He has a fariily of 11 children, and there are 27 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
