Replacing Turf

QRASS that sustains anything like hard wear during the summer months probably now shows a few worn arid bare patches. This necessitates some steps to renovate and replace the worn out with fresh vigorous turf and the sooner this is done the better. The recent rains have softened the turf so that it will be easy to handle. It is necessary to remember that after disturbance, the soil will settle down and the renewed turf must in the first place bo laid anything from hall an inch to one inch above the surrounding level to allow for the unavoidable sinking, otherwise, by next summer the patch will show a depression or hollow instead of a good level.
