OBITUARY

MR. CHARLES STARR (0.C.) HUNTLY, Tuwday The death lias occurred of Mr. Charles Starr, a resident, of Huntlv for the last 40 years Born in Kssex, England, in 1864, Mr. Starr came to New Zealand in the sailing ship Oxford with his parents and family at the age of 10. being one of 1!5 children. They resided at Ngaruawahia for some years. Mr. Starr being n farmer. Before coming to Huntly, Mr. Starr resided at Coromandel, where he was in business for two years. Until his retirement two years ago 110 was in business at Huntly. At one time a suburb of Huntly known as Starrtown was his property and ever since it has been known bv that name. He is survived by his wife and two sons.
