FACTORY ACCIDENTS

HEAVY GERMAN LOSSES "The decline in technical education inside Germany in the years immediately preceding the war was attended by various admissions made in the German press," said Mr. Hugh C. Jenkins, in the course of an address to the teachers attending a refresher course in Wanganui. "It is not. surprising to find that this lowering efficiency should result in a large number of accidents under wartime conditions. The Germans have published the facts, that during 1910 a total of ; 1.800,000 factory accidents occurred in 1 Germany, of which 9000 were fatal, (vhile the annual loss through works accidents was put down at £90,000,000."
