THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE QUIET BUT FIRM MARKET Quiet, conditions again ruled on the Auckland Stock Exchange at the opening of the week yesterday, but values were firm. Very few supplies of gilt-edged securities were available. Offerings of insurance were also short and support for New Zealands strengthened. Levels were firm on last week's rates throughout the classified and miscellaneous sections. The first business for some months was done in New Zealand Itefrigeratings, values showing a substantial decline. Fanners' Tradings improved and sellers entered the market at 2ILs ,'id.
