GRATUITY TO SOLDIERS
POWER BOARD EMPLOYEES (0.C.) HAMILTON, Wednesday A decision to pay employees joining the armed forces for holidays due and one weeks' wages, as well as keep their superannuation benefits alive, was made at a meeting of the Central Waikato Electric-Power Board to-day. The Associated Power Boards' proposal that the men should ho paid for their annual holidays during their absence was rejected on the grounds that it would be unfair to other members of the nrmed forces and to the consumers.
