THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE STEADIER TONE DEVELOPS A slight, improvement in market sentiment was apparent on the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday, when steadier values ruled. Husiness was maintained at a strong volume over a wide range ol investment. Gilt-edged securities were active at linn rates, while the improved market tone was reflected in a. recovery movement in such indicator stocks as Hank ol New Zealand and Broken Mill Proprietary. A substantial tall was shown in (i. .1. Coles on sale at 62s hut this was the first business recorded since, the end of February.
