PUKHKOTIK, Friday In its otith annual show, which opened to-day at Pukckohe. the franklin Agricultural and Pastoral Society has maintained its reputation for projilting in a highly progressive and interesting manner ihe wealth of a wide district in livestock and production. Aliied commercial interests also have their displays and there are also the side-shows in good variety. The dairy breeds are again represented by splendid classes, in which competition has been keen. The entry ot horses i? also large and well up to standard, while the pig section has 200 pedigree pigs, besides large baconer and porker classes. I'ig breeders from as far away as New Plymouth are competing. The show will be continued tomorrow, when People's Day will be obsen ed. In Iho indoor section, there were ton entries in Ihe district courts competition.
