RECTOR'S GREEN MOUSE

I/ONDON, Jan. 27 Miich publicity has been given to a "green" mouse bred by the Rev. Dr. Hosshn Bruce, rector of Hurstmonceaux, Sussex, who thus has achieved an ambition acquired when he was a boy. "It is the only one in the world,'' Dr. Bruce said. "1 have dreamed of it for 50 years, and bred it through 60 generations." Dr. Bruce was formerly. director of the Birmingham Zoo. He .once bred apricot coloured voles. "They were great favourites with women, who loved their soft, silky fur,"- ho said. "The women might not have been so keen on them bad they known that they were really pink rats." The mouse is actually a brownish green, and is quite tame.
