A v.eak disturbance lay over southeastern Australia. Forecast: Light to moderate south-westerly winds over the northern half of the North Island; elsewhere moderate to fresh westerlies, later tending northerly or northwesterly over the South Island and hecoming strong in exposed positions. Seas ratlipr rough on the west coast and about Foveaux Strait, but moderating; elsewhere slight or moderate. Further isolated showers in South Westland and on the Southland coast.
