THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE STEADY CONDITIONS Only restricted business was done on the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday, sellers being absent in many of the shares for which there, was most demand. Values were steady. in gilt-edgeds the 15/6/52-55 stock advanced 5s at £'lo4 1.55. Bank of Xew Zealands eased 2d to 40s 10d. Pukemi ro Coal was lifted Is on last year s level, selling at 17s. New Zealand Breweries remained strong at the recently raised levels. There was only a small offering of Australian industrials, which retained their popularity, but Broken Hills were active at Thursday's raised rates.
